Faltron Port Scanner
Not the best port scanner around but it works well and quite fast. It is useful for security audit of your personal computer. It scans for TCP listening/open ports on your or remote system. You can scan a range of ports or just a single port. You SHOULD NOT scan other's system without their permission! I will not held responsible if you use it for illegal purposes. Requires a fast Pentium III processor or better for the best performance. It took about 7.2 minutes (432 seconds) on my old Intel Celeron 733MHz processor to complete the scan from port 1 to 65535 on localhost. The speed will be a bit slower when scanning remote system. You can double click on an open port to view more information on the DShield website.
